Bifocal lenses have two distinct powers which are separated by a visible segment at the bottom of the lenses.

The top section is for your distance prescription and the bottom is for your reading prescription.

Although bifocal lenses are not suitable for computer use as there is no intermediate distance but they are suitable for most everyday tasks.
